Big Picture Medicine cuts through the noise of modern healthcare to offer a clear, grounded path toward true vitality. In a world overwhelmed by conflicting advice, trendy treatments, and symptom-focused care, Dr. Porter invites readers to step back and see health through a wider, more meaningful lens. Rather than chasing quick fixes, he explores how the body's systems-metabolism, inflammation, hormones, immune function, and environment-are deeply interconnected and must be understood together.Drawing from clinical experience and a functional, systems-based perspective, this book helps readers move beyond reactive medicine and toward a more proactive, personalized approach. You'll learn how to identify root causes, ask better questions, and make informed decisions about your care. Practical strategies are woven throughout, making complex concepts accessible and actionable in everyday life.Whether you're dealing with chronic illness, navigating confusing diagnoses, or simply aiming to optimize your health and longevity, Big Picture Medicine offers a steady, thoughtful framework. It empowers you to become an active participant in your own well-being-helping you feel more in control, more informed, and better equipped to build lasting health in an increasingly complex medical landscape.Stuart B. Porter, D.O. is a distinguished leader in functional medicine and regenerative therapies. He is board certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
